Company profile
F.Imm Srl was founded in 1980 with the goal to develop new
technologies for operating in the field of information science applied to the management of both users and distribution
services of gas, water and electricity, as well as particular techniques for billing such consumptions simultaneously to
their meter readings.
FIMM was actually born by chance. It was a result of an idea of the founder of the group
which FIMM belongs to, which had the problem of reading the consumptions from the meters,
billing the users and organizing the information system for its gas and water distribution company.
It seemed simple, but it wasn't, because they couldn't buy the parts here and there, so they had to create everything
internally: hardware, software, organizational models.
So FIMM was born inside a company that distributed gas for domestic use and then grew
through companies that distributed water, as its administrators were determined to solve internally those problems, which others from the outside,
due to a lack of specialization, had never managed to solve.
The group of which FIMM is a part of, is the Dondi Constructions Group,
italian leader in the creation and management of water and gas distribution networks (and pipelines).
